Frequently asked questions
A few things
worth knowing.
The scope, responsibilities and practical details of working with SGS.
What does SGS take responsibility for?
We agree the work around your objective: ongoing customer acquisition, entry into a new market, a configured SGS platform and campaign for your team to run, or sponsor prospecting. For managed campaigns, SGS researches the audience and handles the agreed outreach, replies and follow-up. For build and handover, your team takes over day-to-day operation after the agreed setup, initial activity and practical handover.
How do you personalise the approach?
We research both the company and the individual we plan to contact. We use the findings relevant to your offer to shape a specific message and explain why a conversation may be worthwhile for that person. As they reply, what they tell us shapes the conversation and follow-up.
Who is the service for?
Businesses selling to other businesses, teams entering a new market or preparing to run their own acquisition, and event organisers seeking sponsors. You need a clear offer, evidence of its value and someone able to take the resulting conversations forward. We assess whether the audience is reachable, the economics support the work and the delivery scope is credible.
Does SGS specialise in one industry?
We work across industries. Each campaign focuses on businesses with a credible reason to need your offer. We research the companies and people within that audience and use relevant findings to shape each approach.
Does SGS close sales for us?
No. Your team owns substantive discovery, proposals, negotiation, closing and fulfilment. SGS handles the agreed acquisition work, including pre-meeting questions, objections and follow-up, and provides a useful handover.
What counts as a qualified conversation?
The business and participant fit the agreed criteria, relevant interest has been established and the person understands the offer and agrees to talk. We provide the supporting context and identify unknowns. A polite reply or automated booking alone is insufficient.
How long does an engagement last?
We agree the duration around your objective and the time needed to prepare and carry out the work. An engagement can cover ongoing acquisition, a defined market or event campaign, or a platform and campaign build with a practical handover. Review points, any minimum commitment, notice and ongoing platform access or support are agreed at the outset.
How are fees agreed?
We scope the initial build and ongoing operation, then prepare a quotation for your business. Build and operating fees fund the agreed work. A success fee may also be agreed where the qualifying outcome and attribution can be clearly established. There is no universal price or success-fee percentage.
Do you guarantee meetings or sales?
We agree the objectives and any specific delivery commitments for your engagement. We do not offer a universal meeting quota or guarantee new customer contracts or revenue. Reporting distinguishes activity, qualified conversations, meetings held and subsequent outcomes.
Which outreach channels do you use?
We use email, LinkedIn and phone calls, selecting the right mix for the people you want to reach. Our research shapes what we say and how we follow up, so each contact has a relevant reason to engage. We agree the channels with you before the campaign begins.
What will we need to provide?
Accurate information about your offer, supporting evidence of customer value, a commercial owner and timely answers to substantive questions. Your team attends meetings, handles the sale and shares outcomes so the campaign can improve.
How do we get started?
Book a conversation with Stuart or email him about the customers you want to reach, the market you want to enter, the tools your team needs or the sponsors you want to attract. We can discuss which approach would make a useful contribution and agree the scope.

What could a more
predictable pipeline
make possible?
Tell Stuart about your business, the customers you’d like to attract and what’s making it difficult to bring in new clients. Together, we can explore how SGS could help.
